In the case of overbooking, the airline must minimize the number of passengers denied boarding against their will, trying to offer potential volunteers the possibility to cancel their flights or continue the trip satisfactorily in exchange for certain benefits, including financial compensation .

Compensation for flight delay

It depends on the hours of delay and the distance of the flight. In addition, the Regulation recognizes the right of the passenger to reimburse the total value of the flight if it is delayed five hours or more and the flight is no longer valid. The airline must provide the passenger with a flight back to the first starting point in the shortest possible time, if this is necessary.
