In the countries of Southeast Asia with an average between 10 and 15 euros one lives comfortably in single or double rooms and eats wonderfully down the street. In China, according to cities that are somewhat more expensive, prices are still lower. In Nepal and in India they are already laughing.
Check your budget daily, do not force yourself to visit all the tourist attractions of the places you frequent. Select them, after all, that's where the budget often escapes us. Hit a farra once in a while with your new friends, neither are you there to go to sleep like chickens every day.
The total budget I spent (adding hotels, food, flights, trains, buses, rickshaws, motorcycles, camels, tuk tuks, etc. that I used to cross Middle Asia) does not reach 4,000 euros. That is, an average of 100 thousand pesetas per month without missing anything and without going rat for life. I know quite a lot that half of them were spent with their bargaining and stinging techniques.
Make accounts and you will see that at home you spend much more.
